Ethics Surveys & Benchmarks
The Ethics Resource Center (ERC) is the most respected organization in the area of ethics program assessment, employee ethics surveys, and ethics industry benchmarks. They have compiled the most advanced measurement instruments and datasets for benchmarking available in the world today.
Lock Media, working together with the Ethics Resource Center, have been able to advance ERC's research efforts on multivariate measures of culture and effectiveness through technology and software tools that support employee surveys and ERC's rigorous methodology of collecting reliable data. In addition, Lock Media has been instrumental in helping ERC create an online portal that provides real-time information and data query tools that will enable customized analysis to corporate clients, along with the capability to generate community-specific benchmarks.
Compliance With FSGO
ERC surveys provide organization with an affordable mechanism for compliance with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations (FSGO), which call for "periodic measurement of program effectiveness" (Section 8B2.1(a)(1)).
Under the FSGO, organizations meeting its criteria will be eligible for penalty reductions upon sentencing for violation of federal criminal law. Organizations may even be able to avoid prosecution, under recent Department of Justice guidance, if they can argue that individual criminal conduct attributable to the organization occurred despite its having an effective ethics and compliance program following the FSGO model (The Thompson Memorandum). The Ethics Resource Center has developed a streamlined survey implementation process designed to minimize cost and maximize efficiency. ERC's overall goal is to make quantitative measurement both easy and affordable for corporate clients.
