Lock Media has now deployed the first phase delivery on the Navy AHLTA web based training (WBT) content development and learning management system (LMS) hosting solution. Lock Media is working with Northrop Grumman under contract by the Navy to produce and host training content specific to AHLTA.

This development is a set of over 150 WBT lessons built to SCORM 1.2 and 508 standards and wrapped in a user tracking and student exam testing environment.
For the WBT, Lock Media Services, Inc. takes a storyboard of text and screen shots from the application for an individual object, and turns it into a Virtual SCORM 1.2 compliant lesson for the user. Most topics include a multimedia demo, interactivity and a practice. The multimedia demo features audio voice recordings, closed captioning, and screen shots. These lessons are categorized based on different roles within the system, available to users of that same role.
Once all of the lessons have been built, they are put into a Learning Management like interface. This stand-alone site features an easy to use navigation structure as well as resource and help links that have tools to assist users along the way. After the interface and the lessons are complete, a quality assurance process is applied to the training tools. This process ensures usability, consistency, and accuracy to client requirements. All content is compliant with the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM 1.2), standard industry practice, and be compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. § 794d, as amended.

User Tracking and Learning Managment Functionality
The system implements user tracking and testing functionality for individual users progress including registration and participation and testing of their comprehension. These results are then complied into user training reports. Users and their roles in the system are pulled from a secure user base, which is incorporated in the application environment. The database capabilities included provide for user tracking and testing; tracking allows for statistical management reporting on user participation and completion, and tests are created and available to users based on their pre-determined role.
The entire creation process includes storyboard development, object programming, system implementation and quality assurance testing. The entire process is tracked using an in-house, custom-designed workspace tracking program. The Workspace Tracking System gives Lock Media full control over the entire creation process as well as the ability to conduct version control for maintenance and proofing purposes.
Currently the entire Navy / AHLTA WBT training site is hosted on dedicated servers in Lock Media's data center. The data center as complete 24x7 support, 99.9% guaranteed up time, on site and off site backup and full electric power generator back up in the event of power grid failure. Lock Media's location and availability to the Internet Backbone networking allows it to maintain a scalable solution built around a growing user base. Bandwidth can be dedicated from a single T1 up through a full OC3 connection as systems scale out to support additional users and clients.
